Portrait: Khristina G.

I see my friend Khristina in the settings of mid 19th century rather than the beginning of 21st.

Home #5. Crassula Ovata.

A very common houseplant Crassula ovata or Jade plant. It's also known as money tree. Our version of it is finished off with chinese lucky knot...which I tried to identify but there are soooo many different knots that it seemed like a mad idea to try to find out how this one on the picture is called and symbolises. Anyway one symbol combined with another symbol makes it even more symbolic, don't you think? Honestly, I think that the contrast of the jade green leaves and silk red knot is quite striking. That's all. I believe that material things posess only those meanings that we are willing to confer to them.

It is later than you think.
